www.verbuga.eu

Very practical website recently posted by jimmyp for practising verb conjugation in French, Spanish, German, Dutch and English. It is easy to select the range of tenses and verbs you'd like to practise, and it helpfully divides the verb selection into regular and irregular to help students pick. We've recently had some INSET from Derek Bacon, chief examiner for AQA Spanish, during which he emphasized that in practice, the difference between top grades and the runners-up at A2 is mostly based on the translation and essay sections of the exam. Since then I've been increasing the number of formal verb tests I've given to my Upper Sixth, and think this will be a useful tool in preparing them rigorously for those parts of the exam.
